concept :
- iBrouteur let you browse a collection of file depicting the life of me, maybe other persons will be presented but you should ignore them as much as possible
- Each file of this collection is associated with tags, some of the tags belong to specific categories the others are just labels
- In order to browse the files you have to select at least one value in one index (like you want all the files created in the month of september, here the index is month and the value september - this will give you all the files of september for EVERY year though ;)
- You can use more than one index to refine your selection, the system will do everything it can in order to ensure that your selection will never be empty (no, you won't be able to select the file created during the 3rd week of the year AND the month of December...)
- In case you don't like it you can start playing around with the url, this is simple enough that you should be able to look for those files created during the 3rd week and the month of December, moron. Please refer to the url diy guidelines
- When viewing a file a new section named naviguation appear, it let you jump to the files close to the current one in the list of images you are currently viewing
annotated interface example :
- selection :

- refine using :
-
indexes :
- album
- During which part of my like was this picture taken
- location
- The place the picture comes from
- date
- The date, like with a day, a month and a year...
- year
- The year it has been taken
- subject
- Who is on the picture. If you see yourself in the picture and are surprised not to have your name listed this means I didn't look hard enough (and not that I forgot your name, no no no). In any case a simple email will settle the matter.
- tag
- Differents label used to define what's on the picture, this will be innacurate and subjective.
- author
- Who took the picture. This is to make sure nobody is upset to see its picture used in this collection (me first)
- month
- The month...
- week
- The week number in the year. 1, 2, 3 and 4 commonly belongs to January for example. Mostly useless.
The dates of some of the pictures did not exist so I had to remember them, my memory being what it is I wouldn't use any of this stuff as a trial evidence for some alibi you might need.
for your edification:
- the 53rd week :
- You may notice than some picture taken in 2005 belong to the 53rd week of 2004, which might seems a bit weird. This issue arrise from the definition of a week : those image have been taken during the last week of 2004, week whose Sunday could be found in 2005.
